Our partnership with Solenis, global producer of specialty chemicals for water-intensive industries, including the pulp, paper, oil and gas, chemical processing, mining, biorefining, power and municipal markets, just keeps going from strength to strength. As we work to make sure everyone gets home safely, we were pleased to work alongside the company to carry out an intense period of specialist inspections and Non-Destruction Testing earlier this year. With much of the machinery and equipment at the UK plant having been in operation for many years, it was decided that it would be most efficient to complete the work during a large and technically challenging outage. The work took several months of planning and was completed by eight specialist Engineer Surveyors, five specialist Non-Destructive Testing Technicians. The team spent time working on 10 tanks, two GRP tanks, a caustic tank and four further tanks on an adjacent site. They also completed nine major Pressure System Safety Regulation inspections. During the complex outage, the tanks were successfully inspected, repaired and re-inspected, thanks to the hard work of the combined British Engineering Services and Solenis team.
