As we make our way through our third year as an independent business, we're delighted to be able to update you on some of the great work we've been carrying out over recent months, including more about some of our people and customers.
A FEW WORDS FROM OUR GROUP CEO, STEWART KAY
I can't quite believe we're already into Q2 of 2018! 2017 was great for our business and we were delighted with how we started 2018. We worked to achieve this and will continue to move forward with our customers and our people at the centre of everything we do.
We've had a really busy start to the year as we work towards a number of customer driven objectives, including maintaining our brilliant service levels and really cementing our industry leading position. Keeping our customers safe and compliant will always be our main priority and we've got the best people helping us achieve this.
Our customer facing team is focused on ensuring we understand the needs of our customers even before they do so please keep talking to us as we continue to partner with you over the coming months.
ANOTHER JOB WELL DONE
It's been almost a year since we first partnered with LyondellBasell Polyolefins to take responsibility for their PSSR/COMAH written schemes of examination and inspections and we're delighted with the feedback we’ve received so far.
As one of the largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies in the world, developing a strong partnership and delivering a first-class service for LyondellBasell Polyolefins is an ongoing priority for our company and our team of industry experts are helping drive this.
Alan Catchpole, British Engineering Services Consultancy Engineer, worked alongside Kevin Cox, one of our highly skilled Non-Destructive Testing Technicians, earlier this year to deliver thorough inspections on more than 150 items and protective devices. To minimise disruption, the work was carried out during a major plant shut down with a significant amount of the preparation work completed in advance.
Alan and Kevin were supported by a number of additional British Engineering Services experts to navigate the programme of work within the required timescales, while working closely with the customer.
“Working alongside the LyondellBasell Polyolefins team has been a really great experience for us and, thanks to our brilliant team, we’ve been able to efficiently navigate the challenges associated with this contract and deliver a great service. We look forward to working with them again in the future,” said Sebastian Lomax, MD of Testing and Consultancy.
SUPPORTING THE FUEL DISTRIBUTION INDUSTRY
Richie Wood, Consultancy Operations Delivery Manager, and Ian Sanders, Head Office Engineer went along to the FPS Expo in Liverpool last month where they spent time catching up with existing customers, including the MOD and Road Tankers (Northern) Ltd and sharing the impressive British Engineering Services story with others. The annual event is the UK and Ireland’s premier event for the fuel distribution industry and is attended by a number of businesses we're proud to partner with.

WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU
We updated your earlier this year on the work we've been carrying out to get our processes working effectively for you since moving away from RSA and becoming an independent company more than two years ago. And I'm really pleased that I can come back to you again and share that our 'behind the scenes' ways of working just keep getting better and better. We've got a great team in place and are focused on providing our customers with the very best service at all times, we're getting great feedback and we're proud of our growing business.
We're interested in what you've got to say and we'd love to hear from you. If you have anything you'd like to share about your experience working with us, please email me by clicking here or Richie Wood by clicking here.
