Our experience in the utilities sector is second to none and in 2019 we added to this even further with the addition of Wessex Water to our impressive customer base.  With more than 13,000 individual items spread over 120 locations, the company makes sure it works alongside external partners it can trust to do the very best job, in all circumstances.

The challenge

When moving to British Engineering Services, Wessex Water was looking for a partner that would work confidently to some industry leading service level agreements, with an ongoing focus on safety at all times.

An advanced attitude to planning inspections was absolutely imperative with so many items of kit spread across so many locations, some with nothing more than a grid reference as a way of finding them.

Our solution

Ahead of the contract start date, we spent three months working alongside Wessex Water, making sure we understood their needs before taking responsibility for their extensive schedule of inspections.  Our dedicated transition manager managed the complete process to make sure we were working with the most up to date plant list and that all  site contact details were correct.

A thorough orientation/ training programme was launched for our engineer surveyors ahead of the official launch date, making sure they were fully up to speed when the contract started.  On top of this, our award winning planning system can identify the grid references so our engineer surveyors know exactly where they need to be, on time and every time.
