Samworth has grown by acquisition and natural growth to become a multisite operation across the UK. The food production company has sites that stretch into remote areas of the country such as Cornwall and, as a result, it was difficult to have a consistent approach across the group. Each location had its own methods and reporting which can be tricky for the Group Health & Safety function to monitor compliance.
To support our customer, we worked with their Health and Safety team to bring a consist approach to inspections across the group. This involved various methods from looking to see if all plant was covered in every location, updating plant lists and training all staff to report through to the introduction of our eReporting portal. The team have visibility of every location within seconds and now use the eReport to monitor compliance in real time. This has supported a proactive approach in monitoring any risks to the business.
