At the leading edge – Windfloat Atlantic

Who we work with is everything to us.  We believe in leaving in nothing to chance at British Engineering Services and we love working with those who feel the same.

Our valued customer, MHI Vestas, are at the leading edge of offshore wind turbines development. Supplying the world’s largest and most powerful floating offshore wind turbine generator for the WindFloat Atlantic project, they undoubtedly know what they’re doing.

We have been delighted to be have supported MHI Vestas on this project, providing the most thorough inspection services for their equipment installed on these V164 turbines located on floating platforms the next stage of offshore wind power. Our Engineer Surveyors recently examined the essential safety equipment within these turbines during the commissioning stage, just prior to their deployment 250km into the Atlantic, making sure it was fit for purpose and safe for use.

Once fully installed, the floating offshore wind farm will impressively consist of three V164-8.4 MW turbines with a tip height of 190 meters atop a triangular, semi-submersible WindFloat foundations and will be located at a sea depth of 100 meters.
