Working from Engineer Surveyor through to Chief Engineer, Andy has more than 30 years’ experience in the Inspections industry where he has built up a wealth of invaluable ‘hands on’ knowledge and experience. In his role as Chief Engineer, he is responsible for identifying technical, quality, compliance and health & safety standards and ensure we adhere to these at all times as a business.
With his extensive and thorough industry knowledge, Andy also spends time supporting ongoing recruitment campaigns, contributing to our growing library of technical blogs and eBooks and ensuring we continue to understand and meet the needs of our customers. In addition, Andy has overall responsibility for ensuring all new Engineer Surveyors experience a thorough and useful induction during their early weeks with the company.
Andy was one of the founding members of the British Engineering Services Leadership Team having joined the company from Royal & Sun Alliance Group as part of the carve out in November 2015. During his time at RSA, Andy carried out a number of roles including Consultant Engineer, Technical Manager, Inspection Underwriting Leader and Chief Engineer. He was involved in several special projects, during which time he was able to both share and develop his impressive skill set.
As Chief Engineer, Andy is well-known and well respected by his colleagues and the wider Inspections industry and his knowledge and experience ensures he continues to be influential both internally and externally.

We would like to introduce you to Pete Coleman, Head of Direct Sales at British Engineering Services.
As Head of Direct Sales, Pete is responsible for helping grow and develop our customer base across a multitude of sectors. He is relationship focused and works closely with many of our external business partners as we continue to make understanding and delivering on the needs of our customers a priority for our business.
His extensive experience in successful sales focused roles ensures he is a trusted and reliable member of the company’s Sales Leadership Team, working alongside his senior colleagues to help shape and develop our growth strategy as we continue to establish ourselves as an independent business.
Pete joined British Engineering Services as part of the carve out from Royal & Sun Alliance Group in 2015. Prior to this, he spent more than 10 years in senior sales roles for the international insurance company’s Engineering and Consultancy business where he developed the sales strategy and led and developed a team of Business Development and Key Account Managers.
Having spent a number of years in this industry, Peter has a thorough understanding of both regulatory compliance and risk management and is an expert at delivering the best solutions for our customers.

We would like to introduce you to Warren Bainbridge, Head of Business Development – Broker and Insurer at British Engineering Services.
As Head of Business Development – Broker and Insurer, Warren is responsible for leading our sales efforts in these markets. He has extensive experience in this area and puts significant value on building and developing strong relationships with our external partners.
He is a senior and well-respected member of the company’s sales team and is instrumental in helping shape our sales strategy as we continue to grow as an independent business. He works closely with Chief Customer Officer Andrew Shaw, offering useful in-sight and direction in his chosen business area.
Warren joined British Engineering Services from Global Insurer Chubb where he led the Sales and Distribution Strategy for the Northern Region alongside Chubb’s Elite Broker Designation – Cornerstone. He has over 30 years’ experience in the Insurance Industry and held senior positions at several companies including AXA and Direct Line Group’s broking arm NIG, before joining Chubb.

We would like to introduce you to Chris Cassidy, Business Development Manager at British Engineering Services.
Chris Cassidy joined our company In June 2017 to help strengthen our customer-facing team. As Business Development Manager for the North, he plays a key role in helping progress British Engineering Services as we continue to grow and develop as an independent company.
He is an integral member of our customer-facing team and is focused on working alongside our broker partners to ensure we continue to meet their vital Testing, Inspections and Certification needs. He works closely with our Head of Business Development – Broker and Insurer, Warren Bainbridge, and other regionally focused members of his team as they work to help continue to move our company forward.
Along with growing this part of the business, strengthening our existing broker agreements is extremely important to Chris and he is focused on building and developing our external relationships as he works towards this as a result.
Chris has more than 25 years’ experience in this field, having worked at companies including RSA, where he spent 10 years as a Broker Development Manager, and CCRS Brokers Ltd before joining our company.

As Business Development Manager, Tom is an important member of our customer-facing team. He works closely with our Head of Business Development – Broker and Insurer, to help strengthen our existing broker relationships in the Southern region and support the growth and development of this part of the business.
With significant responsibility for broker relationships in the East Midlands and South East Region, Tom ensures he understands the ongoing needs of these customers and works alongside our operational teams to make sure we continue to deliver the very best service levels and meet these requirements.
Tom works closely with all relevant customers to help ensure they are getting the best value from their relationship with British Engineering Services and understand the complete range of services we are able to offer them.
He is also an influential member of the wider team and is integral in ensuring the company’s Executive Team understand and support our strategy in this part of the business.
Tom has more than 25 years’ experience in business development roles with Crawford and Co, HSB Engineering Insurance and Aviva. He has extensive knowledge of both our industry and our broker customers as a result of his time with HSB and is constantly putting this insight to good use in his role with British Engineering Services.

As Broker Schemes Manager, Julie is responsible for managing the relationships with our online brokers through the use of our Broker Engineering Rating Tool (BERT). She works alongside our Business Development Managers to help ensure we are working in a way that meets the needs of our broker partners as we continue to grow as an independent business.
Julie is relationship driven and works closely with all her internal and external contacts to develop our existing broker schemes, while also looking for opportunities to grow this part of our business. She continually reviews our ongoing agreements to ensure they are fit for purpose as we continue to implement new initiatives.
Having joined National Vulcan in 1990, she has a wealth of knowledge and experience built up over a number of years in our industry and is an expert in her field. She has significant experience working with the broker market and is an important member of our customer-facing team, supporting Head of Business Development – Broker and Insurer by offering valuable insight and knowledge and making use of her extensive experience.
As Business Development Manager for the West Midlands and South West Region, Sarah works closely with the wider customer facing team including Head of Business Development – Broker and Insurer, Warren Bainbridge. She is responsible for helping to growth and development of our business by building relationships with our customers so that we can be sure we understand their ongoing needs and continuously deliver against these.
She has extensive experience in working alongside brokers having worked for Axa Insurance, Zurich Insurance and, more recently, Rural Insurance over recent years and is extremely comfortable in this environment. She is an enthusiastic and passionate member of the team and is extremely focused on our customers and ensuring they get the best service from our company

As Customer Manager, Chris plays a significant part in ensuring our customers have the best possible experience when working with British Engineering Services. He is responsible for our Customer Services Teams and is focused on developing the most efficient processes and building the most effective teams.
Chris is a senior member of the British Engineering Services team and works closely with the company’s Executive decision makers, advising and helping shape the strategy of the business, as we continue to grow and develop as an independent company.
Joining the British Engineering Services team from HSB Engineering Insurance, he has a thorough knowledge of the Testing, Inspections and Consultancy industry and the ever-evolving needs of its customers. He is focused on applying his experience and customer insight on a daily basis as he continues to lead and shape his team.
Prior to his role with HSB, he spent time with Ageas Insurance, Groupama Insurance and Axa Insurance where he focused on areas such as process efficiencies, customer retention and service delivery.

In his role of Business Development Executive, Mike offers valuable support both internally and externally. He is a very useful and reliable point of contact for our customers and an important member of our customer-facing team
Mike has developed strong relationships with a number of brokers and works alongside them to ensure we meet their needs daily as a key service provider. He is focused on helping establish the British Engineering Services brand and driving growth as we continue to establish ourselves as an independent business.
He brings a wealth of experience to his role, built up over more than ten years in our industry. Prior to joining British Engineering Services, he spent a significant amount of time as Large Account Handler followed by Senior New Business Handler at RSA, focusing predominantly on brokers.
Working in conjunction with his Business Development colleagues, Mike has responsibility for business growth in the South Region and views this an opportunity to further develop his existing relationships.
